1. Rua Augusta
Marked by a monumental Arch, Rua Augusta is Lisbon's main shopping street. The black and white patterned stone street lies right in the heart of the historic center and is always frequented by tourists.
The popular pedestrian-only shopping street features some of the most popular fashion brand name, including Zara, Mango, Bershka, Benetton and Stradivarius. In addition, the official store of the soccer club Benfica and a few traditional stores awaits you here, such as the Sapataria e Chapelaria Lord hat and shoe store, which opened in 1941.
If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the street, grab a delicious pastry at a pastelaria or a gelato at the famous Amoriono. Or rest in one of the many top restaurants and bars of Lisbon that line the street.
2. Avenida da Liberdade
Avenida da Liberdade in the city center is the home of luxury shopping in Lisbon. Reminiscent of the Champs- Elysées in Paris, this upscale boulevard stretches 2.5 kilometers and is brimming with luxury brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace and Prada. In addition to some of the most expensive real estate in Lisbon, you'll also find local jewelry and shoe stores, as well as mid-range fashion stores like Guess and Mango.
In the shade of the palm trees, you can stroll along the wide pedestrian walkways with the city's famous tiled pavement and enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere of the boulevard.

3. Rua Garrett
Named after Portuguese writer Almeida Garrett, Rua Garrett is a great spot for international fashion brands and traditional local shops. The posh street in the heart of the upscale Chiado neighborhood stretches 210 meters uphill to Largo do Chiado. Along the way you pass internationally renowned brands like Zara, Nike and Swarovski, but also historical shops like Paris em Lisboa and Tous jewelry.
Get a glimpse of the old Lisbon when visiting the oldest bookstore in the world, Livraria Bertrand, founded in 1732. Treat yourself to a coffee break at the former artists' hangout Café A Brasileira, opened in 1905.
4. Rua do Carmo
Rua do Carmo is a charming side street that turns off from Rua Garrett. Thanks to its hand-picked selection of small family-run boutiques, it is the ideal place to find quality pieces and unique souvenirs to remind you of your trip to Lisbon.
Stop by Luvaria Ulisses to find leather gloves in all varieties and colors, or Claus Porto, offering one-of-a-kind soaps, colognes, scented candles, home diffusers and men grooming products since 1877. At the beginning of the street lies the shopping center Armazéns do Chiado, with 50 shops and a food court.

5. Rua da Escola Politécnica & Rua Dom Pedro V
Located in the charming Príncipe Real neighborhood, these two streets boast a fantastic mix of concept stores, designer boutiques, craft and antique stores. But that's not all! Here you'll find Embaixada, a hip concept store housed in a beautiful 19th century building selling Portuguese brands.
Stroll the streets and get locally made goods and unique items, for example at Portugal’s oldest antique store Solar Antiques, where you can discover a magnificent selection of azulejo tiles, or at the historical store Principe Real Enxovais, offering exquisite fine bed linens, hand embroidered tablecloths, and much more.
6. Rua do Poço dos Negros
Rua do Poço dos Negros is the right choice for travelers willing to venture away from Lisbon's famous tourist attractions. Nestled between the Bairro Alto and Santos neighborhoods, the street is becoming a poster child for the city's creative scene. Here you will find a number of interesting and artsy stores.
An interesting spot is the little pop-up shop Clube Royale Lisboa, which sells secondhand pieces and original creations, as well as offering workshops and an art café. By the way, Rua do Poço dos Negros is very easy to get to, as the famous yellow Tram line 28 stops here.
